Finale Ligure is close to 3 international airports and can be reached very easily by car or by train.
Genoa Airport is only 70 Km from Finale Ligure
Nice Airport is 130 Km away, and has a lot of international flights.
Milan has 2 major airports, most international flights will arrive at Malpensa, 240 Km from Finale Ligure.
The distance to these airports are short, so it's easy organize shuttles that can make easier the transfert to the race area.
By Car
From North Europe the main direction to follow is Milan (or Turin if you come from North West). Take the route to Savona and you will arrive at the coast. Finale Ligure is about 20 Km south-west of Savona.
From South France, take the route to Nice. After the border, follow the road on the coast to Finale Ligure.
For more info take a look to the national highway web site.
By Train
Italy has a very good railway network that connects to every region of the country.
To join Finale Ligure from North Europe you have to travel via Milan or Turin, and then there will be a direct line to the coast. If you are coming from the UK, have a look at Seat 61, which also has a section on taking your bike by train in Europe. Make sure you check about carriage of your bike on trains, as the dismantling/packing requirements can be different, and some trains do not officially allow them.
The train station in Finale Ligure is right in the centre of the Town and you can look at the Italian train timetable.
If you would like advice from a dedicated Tour Operator, email the local Travel Agency to plan for your trip. They can booking your flight and organize a Shuttle to pick you up and take you directly to the Event.
